Savi Video Clipping Feature
There are many reasons you may need to recall and save a section of recorded video. You may need to check the legitimacy of a customer complaint, review a slip and fall, or provide video to law enforcement to assist in an investigation. Whatever the reason, creating clips of video from the Savi VMS is simple and quick!
Savi video clipping now allows you to pull video from multiple camera angles at once.
Finding and saving the video you need on Savi is easier than ever! To get started go to the video tab and select the location you need footage from and then follow the steps below:
Click the film icon in the right corner of the bottom toolbar.
Select "Create New" in the upper right.
Give the clip and name and select whatever camera or cameras you need, and select "Next".
Select the correct date and time frame.
Click Save.

- Hover over the video clip you want.
- Click the three dots next to the clip title .
- Select "Download" from the list of options.
If you don't want to download the clip to external storage you can also share the saved clip. This allows you to determine who has access and for how long. To share follow the steps below.
- Select the three dots shown above.
- Choose "Share" from the options list.
- Click "Share New" in the upper right corner.
- Input the phone number or email address for the recipient and designate how long you want them to have access for.
- You can also allow them to download the clip and if you want to protect this clip with a password.
- The recipient will then receive a text or email giving them access.
